Dear School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program Students,

So I’m in denial that it’s almost October and Mother Nature seems to be too. And while I love basking in 90 degree weather as much as the next person, it makes it that much harder to be indoors when the weather is so tempting.

On the bright side, we have a slew of new events to be enjoyed over the next few days that are just as awesome as the weather. There’s a few Honors Colloquium events like the trip to the African American Museum in Philadelphia, which are open to all Honors students. There’s also a chance to help Rutgers break a world record and to learn about the Intelligence Community. Then be on the lookout for events that take place next week, like Dinosaurs with the Dean and be sure to register now. And if you do find yourself lying under a tree next to a squirrel, enjoying the August-esque heat, be sure to read the Shout Outs section of this Newsletter and the Honors Blog, where Noreen Anquillano and Saad Mansuri contemplate what it means to be upperclassmen.
In the meantime, I’ll leave you to the sun, squirrels, and schoolwork.
Have a great,

Kim Peterman
