Do you still need to fulfill the Honors Colloquium requirement? Announcing this summer's Honors Colloquium course! This Colloquium will be a six-week, hybrid, discussion-based course investigating the topic of memory.
We will consider the question of memory from the point of view of neuroscience, art, fiction, and prose poetry. We'll be talking and writing about how memory defines who we are--as both individuals and a society. Students will be expected to examine their own memories and to respond to a variety of texts and creative prompts. A final assignment will take its inspiration from Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities.
