What attracted you to Rutgers University and the Honors/Scholars Program?
A high-quality program with intelligent and articulate classmates at an affordable price.

Why did you choose your major and minor?
I always gravitated to history and politics and naturally enjoyed the courses offered at Rutgers. I took a few classes with excellent professors and kept on going.

Tell us a little bit about what you're doing now. What was your first job after Rutgers? Where do you live?
[I am currently an] Associate Attorney at Heilbrunn Pape, LLC working in residential/commercial real estate and land use development. My first job after Rutgers was clerking for Judge Lawrence M. Lawson, AJSC. I live in Robbinsville, NJ.

What has been your greatest professional and/or personal accomplishment since you graduated Rutgers?
Having a well-balanced work/life so that I can spend time with my family.

Was there a class and/or experience at Rutgers that led you to pursuing your current career?
When I was at Eagleton it seemed a number of influential people went to law school. I figured attending a good law school would be helpful no matter my career decision. The skills learned at law school would provide transferable skills.

What three words describe your experience at Rutgers and the Honors/Scholars Program?
Challenging. Motivating. Affordable.

How has your Rutgers and Honors education benefited you in your post-Rutgers life?
I was able to access small seminar courses, interact closely with intelligent and passionate peers and learn from professors who were masters of their field of study. Learning to challenge myself helped give me the initial tools that I use on a daily basis: critical thinking, concise writing, and team-work.
