What To Expect When You’re NOT Expecting: Fertility and Health Insurance
Wednesday, February 3 at 9PM - 10PM
Scott Hall, Room 206, College Ave Campus
Welcome back to another semester at Rutgers! Mark your calendars - the Rutgers Bioethics Society will be having its first general body meeting, "What To Expect When You’re NOT Expecting: Fertility and Health Insurance".
In celebration of our first meeting, free food and beverages will be provided!
With the presidential elections impending, there has been a lot of discussion about single payer health insurance. As health care costs continue to rise, presidential candidates from both parties have shown support for single payer insurance. If our health insurance were to switch to single payer, should fertility treatments and procedures be covered? Is fertility a human right that should be covered by insurance or should it be the responsibility of individuals to pay the costs? Come by on Wednesday night to munch on food while we talk about the ethical implications this change could have on fertility in America!
