The School of Arts and Sciences Honors Peer Mentor Program matches new SASHP students with current SASHP students who serve as Peer Mentors.

Peer Mentors volunteer as resources who are available to share information about everything from requirements to professors, to inform students where to get advice, and to generally be familiar faces at SASHP and university events. Mentors range in class year from sophomores to seniors, and majors from Art History to Biological Sciences. When possible, students are matched on the basis of possible major, career plans, and extracurricular interests. The Mentors & Mentees determine the nature of the mentoring relationship: some meet only once or twice, and some form lasting friendships.

Beginning with the Peer Mentor & Mentee Summer Kick-off, the Peer Mentor Programming Board, made up of Peer Mentor leaders, organizes activities each month for Mentors & Mentees to attend together. Visit our events page to learn about our upcoming events and follow us on Instagram.

We encourage you to also, read about what students have said about their experience as an SASHP Peer Mentor on the SAS Honors Program Blog.
